My name is Nick Hough and I write.  I’ve always written.

I’m interested primarily in writing good English. I’m also interested in the outdoors, in science, engineering, politics, economics, culture, language and religion.

I’m a Christian, a family man, a guitarist, a gardener, and a mountaineer. I live with my wife in a barn conversion on the edge of the Peak District. If I had a motto, it would be “the status quo is never acceptable”. Or perhaps – “Il n’y’a pas des vaches sacrees”.
